Gack left his family nest at a young age, not entirely by choice, as a planar disruption dropped him from the Elemental Plane of Air into the Prime. 

He spent most of his time out in the wilderness, avoiding most contact with the humanoids from nearby villages as they found him a strange creature anyway. In his time alone he took it upon himself to keep the lands where he lived clean of bandits however, for the easier others found it to pass through the area, the less reason they had to linger around. 

It was only natural that he got involved with the Emerald Enclave some years ago. As he found a message on a dead courier, aluding to a particularly nasty bandit crew lead by a man called Grimjaw, Gack set out again from his forest home. But first to visit an old friend who'd urged him to come by at earliest possibility.
