Session 35

Marlos Unrayle

The PCs reach the Black Geode, last outpost of the Cult of Black Earth. They convince a couple of hill giants guards to let them pass without too much trouble, and rapidly dispatch a few cultists and their elemental pets.

Gack decides to disguise himself as a Black Earth cultist to scout ahead. He bypasses a hermit and his xorn companion by offering tribute, and he arrives in a cavern occupied by a river of mud. 

Further ahead he enters a cavern covered in purple crystals, ending his scouting mission at a stone bridge. He then returns to the party to report.

The party moves ahead, ambushing the hermit and the xorn, to move to the river of mud. there they find a passage leading them to a cavern dominated by a pool of mud, guarded by a few mephitis and an elemental myrmidon. 

The PCs defeat the creatures, and proceed to the foundry, where they kill a few cultists and free Rundorth, a dwarven blacksmith. In order to assist them in battle, Ayu polymorphs Rundorth in a giant crab, which Zadas claims as a mount.

Not far from the foundry, the party arrives at  a huge cavern, where Marlos Unrayle, prophet of earth, is completing the ritual to summon Ogremoch, evil lord of elemental Earth. The final battle for the fate of the Sword Coast is about to begin!
