The PCs continue the exploration of the Howling Caves, where they have to battle more air cultists, and their demonic allies.
They rescue a few more prisoners from the clutches of the evil acolytes, fighting their way through the priests of the Howling Hatred.
Eventually they reach a cavern where three spikes of stone jut upward like three immense claws. Between them, a churning thundercloud thrashes with lightning. Thunder cracks, and cascades of tiny rocks tumble from above. Beneath the thunderhead stands a raised are splattered with the blood of many sacrifices.
A silvery window is sometimes visible in the center of the cloud. It opens onto clouds in an endless sky.
Aerisi Kalinoth, prophetess of Air, stands next to this "portal", supported by two Air Elemental Myrmidons. Battle is joined, and evil is defeated. In order to seal the portal, Mauritius throws Windvane, Aerisi's magical spear, into the magical door, destroying it and stopping Yan-C-Bin (the evil lord of elemental air) to enter the world.
Then suddenly, from the remains of the portal, bubbling water spring forth, and then a vision. Poseidon, god of the Depths, appears to the party, with a message for Zadas: "Seek me out once your task in this world is concluded". Galvanized by this revelation, the PCs get ready to face the last remaining prophet.
