The fight inside Rivergaard Keep continues, as the party fights more and more bandits to get to the doors. When opening the main gate seems like a lost cause, the PCs lower a few ropes from the walls of the keep. The kngihts of Samular and their squires climb those ropes, and give the PCs the upper hand.
When most of the bandits are defeated, their leader Grimjaw and several of his lieutenant barricade themselves inside the keep. With them they have several prisoners, the kidnapped villagers they forced to work as servants.
Unwilling to risk the life of the prisoners, Zadas challenges Grimjaw to a duel, which the bandit leader accepts. Ayu takes this opportunity to sneak inside the keep. While the triton and the wereboar are exchanging blows, Ayu opens the doors of the keep, and mass battle is joined once more. The PCs and the knights subdue the remaining bandits, while Zadas defeats and kills Grimjaw with a well-placed anchor to the face.
The party rejoices for their victory, but trouble is not completely averted. Several bandits escaped during the battle, among them a few servants of dark powers related to elemental water.
